We provide care to people who need some degree of ongoing assistance with everyday tasks on a regular or daily basis. The recipients of Home Care Services can live either in residential or institutional settings, range from children to older adults, elderly love one’s and those persons who have chronic illnesses or disabling conditions while staying in their own residence.

  • ACE 1 LLCdba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE is legally authorized to operate as a home care agency. We, at all times, comply with the laws of the State of Hawaii.
  • Chapter 11-700, Hawaii Administrative Rules, entitled “Home Care Agencies”, is adopted .§11-700-1 Purpose. This chapter establishes minimum standards and requirements for licensure of home care agencies to protect the health, safety, and welfare of clients receiving care from home care agencies.[Eff AUG I O 2018] ( Auth: HRS §§321-9,321-11)(Imp: HRS §§321-1132 14.8).
  • ACE 1 LLCdba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE, as a Licensed Home Care Agency., implements programs and excellent services to provide comprehensive, quality home care in the client’s home or service site. All services are provided under the direction of the Administrator, Assistant Administrator, and Supervising Nurse/ Home Care Agency Coordinator. Preferably, the coordinator shall be a qualified, licensed, Hawaii-licensed registered nurse.
  • ACE 1 LLCdba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE addresses the Client’s unique psychological, safety, self-esteem, and self-actualization needs in a Client plan of home care. We serve as a resource for the client, the client’s family, and the community. We provide home care education for the client, the client’s family, and the community. The services will be provided to the extent that such professionals are either hired by the Agency or contracted for by the Agency. According to the CDC, Caregiving is an important public health issue that affects the quality of life for millions of individuals. Caregivers provide assistance with another person’s social or health needs. Hence, As an employer, we provide staff developmental opportunities and programs, including orientation and programs concerning current practices in nursing and allied health care.

  • ACE 1 LLCdba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE offers an affordable quality home care services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days in a year.

“Home care agency” means a public or proprietary agency, a private, nonprofit organization, or a subdivision of an agency or organization engaged in providing personal care services or homemaker services to clients in the client’s temporary or permanent place of residence.

Home care agency does not include organizations that provide only housecleaning services , nor does it apply to an individual, including an individual who is incorporated as a business, or is an unpaid or stipended volunteer.

§11-700-6 Scope of services. (a) A home care agency may provide personal care services or homemaker services, or both, and may provide respite care services.

Steps We Take to Ensure Client and Employee Safety

  1. ACE 1 LLC dba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE streamlines the pre-employment process to determine the job applicant’s qualifications and those who are fit for the position. Pre-employment testing utilizes cognitive, behavioral, and skill-based assessments. We hire employees who show care, compassion, and kindness.
  2. Background Checks (Per Hawaii Revised Statutes §378 – 2.5 & Hawaii Revised Statutes §321 – 15.2) are utilized to the maximum extent as permitted by the applicable law. The background report may contain information concerning the criminal history of all the employees. Job seekers with convictions other than minor traffic violations are not accepted for employment. This is regardless of how long ago they may have committed the crime. Serious and violent crimes such as robbery, abuse, and sexual assault are, however, non-exempt. ACE 1 LLC dba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE does not consider any person with those convictions as a job applicant. The safety of our clients is our priority.
  3. ACE 1 LLC dba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE employees have documented evidence of tuberculosis (TB) clearance in accordance with the most current and updated guidelines in chapter 11-164 Hawaii administrative rules prior to their first contact with clients.
  4. Healthy employees are crucial to us, especially with the current impact of the COVID-19 outbreak and as it continues to affect the state of Hawaii, the world, and our local communities. To focus on the health and safety of our workers, staff, and clients during these unprecedented situations, ACE 1 LLC’s employees are tested with COVID-19. It’s our commitment that only employees with negative results are allowed to perform client care. All our employees are provided with a face mask for work and home use. We advise our staff and workers that if they are feeling sick and have symptoms of COVID-19, they must contact our office immediately to take the necessary precautions. Employees are advised not to go to work, stay home, isolate themselves, and, if necessary, seek a medical check-up. As an employer, we adhere to & follow Federal, State, and Local guidelines (CDC, OSHA, State of Hawaii Department of Health) to protect our employees, clients, and the community from COVID-19.
  5. Providing employees with CPR and first aid training is just one of the many ways a company can show that it cares for the health and well-being of its employees and clients. As workers feel more motivated, they are able to work better. ACE 1 LLC dba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE employees who are performing client care have current CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and BLS (Basic Life Training Support) training. Our employees are trained and have confidence in their skills to save a life should the need arise. They learn theory and practical methods so that they understand emergency situations, know how to identify them and act quickly while Emergency 911 medical personnel are on the way. The life of our client matters to us.

  7. ACE 1 LLC dba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE checks employees to determine if they are authorized to work. We require employees to submit and show proof of Work Authorization and Social Security Card.
  8. ACE 1 LLC dba: A CARE OF EXCELLENCE policy requires all employees who have direct contact with clients in the home care settings to submit a statement of Good Health & Free from Communicable Disease certified by an appropriately licensed healthcare professional, based on an exam performed within the last twelve months. The employee must show no apparent signs or symptoms of communicable diseases.
